An Emotional Tribute to Our Fallen: Governor Jerry Brown joined uniformed firefighters, family members, grateful citizens and dignitaries from throughout California, who gathered on the grounds of the California State Capitol Saturday, October 5th, in a solemn tribute to those who have given their lives to protect the state and its citizens.

CPF Firevision - Fire Season 2013

More Fires, Less Resources: The 2013 Fire Season is off to a bad start: as of June 1st, the number of fires was up 35% over 2012, with nearly six times as many acres burned.  But this heightened danger comes at a time when layoffs, station closures and a “cut-first” climate has decimated local capacity.
